April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4, 1995. In the seventh grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love to write songs. When April was 12 She composed her debut single Different. She spent a lot of the time of 14 making songs and practicing the piano. Over the next few months, she started taking writing trips together with her dad in LA in addition to NY. April started to include other subjects in Take My Hand for those of her peers who struggled in the face of peer pressure, disability or even suicide. Lockhart is a popular figure and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the popular Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Lockhart was never born with a left hand, and that is why she's what she is. It's just not the full story. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not hide her disability but doesn't just focus on the issue. The message is? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identity and physical self aren't as they appear. Lockhart tells Lockhart in a video interview "I do not believe that disability should define me. It's not my intention to have an impact on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." It doesn't affect my everyday life. It's all normal, and I have learned to adapt. It's also a part of me, and I believe it should be discussed. Self-acceptance is a lifelong marathon however Lockhart truly inspires me for this aspect. She admits that she's been through periods of being uncomfortable with her body at times feeling insecure to wear certain types of clothing that showed the arms of her. She dresses according to her preferences and posts photos of herself dressed in outfits she chooses on social platforms. She says that self-love is a process. I'm not sure when you'll reach the end. However, I believe that's the case with everyone with whatever their insecurity is. The people around you with who truly know you and see through your eyes are the best people who can remind you of the things you're concerned about.
