Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her amateur debut at age 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and then went on to a three-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of all fights. Ladd returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via an unanimous vote to remove an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from this loss to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Her next bout was a win against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to take on McGill. She won the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd was unable to reach her weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. Aspen won her fight via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the 2nd. When she next faced Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger in the very first round and earned a reward for her performance during the night. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd after 16 seconds which ended the streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
